Google Sign-In and Google user data

If you choose to create an account or sign in with Google, Praxeli uses Google Sign-In (OAuth) for authentication. In that case, we receive basic Google account profile information that you authorize Google to share with us — typically your name, email address, and profile image (and a stable Google account identifier). We use this Google user data solely to authenticate you, create or manage your Praxeli account, and communicate with you about the Service.

• We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google user content beyond basic profile information needed for sign-in.
• We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use Google user data for advertising.
• Google user data is stored with your account records and retained for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.

Praxeli is designed for academic workflows — citation finding, document analysis, writing assistance, exports, and related tools. When you submit content, it is processed to generate the results you request.

What you might submit

• Prompts and research questions for writing or analysis tools.

Your responsibilities

• Only submit content you have the right to use for your academic work.
• Avoid uploading sensitive personal information unless necessary for your task.
• Do not upload confidential institutional records, private student data, or restricted research materials unless you are authorized.
• Review all generated outputs before using them in coursework, research, or publication.
• You remain responsible for managing and deleting your own academic content where applicable.

If you use library or project features, saved items are associated with your account so you can access them across sessions, subject to your plan and account settings.

Praxeli uses automated systems, including AI models, to process user input. Depending on the tool, this may include generating text, finding sources, summarizing documents, checking grammar, or analyzing uploaded files.

What to expect

• Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or need editing before use.
• Citations and references should be verified against original sources.
• The Service supports academic workflows — it does not replace your judgment or institutional requirements.
• Follow your school, university, or employer policies on AI-assisted work.

We process input to deliver the functionality you request. Infrastructure providers that help operate the Service may process data on our behalf as needed to run tools. Contact us if you have questions about a specific workflow.

We may share information only as needed in these circumstances:

• Service providers that help us host, operate, secure, analyze, authenticate, or support the Service (such as cloud hosting, Google Sign-In / OAuth authentication, payment processing, email delivery, or AI infrastructure), subject to contractual obligations where applicable.

• Review AI-assisted work carefully before submission.
• Follow your school, university, or program policies on AI use.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can review the request.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
