Overview
Praxeli provides academic research and writing tools. This policy describes how we handle personal information and the academic content you submit.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Praxeli website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.
We aim to explain what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have — in language you can actually read. If anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, academic content you submit to our tools, and limited technical data about how you use the Service.
Information you provide
- Account information such as your name and email address when you register or sign in.
- Contact information when you reach support or submit a request.
- Payment or subscription information where applicable, typically processed by a payment provider.
- Academic content you submit, including prompts, drafts, essays, citations, and tool outputs.
- Uploaded documents and files you choose to analyze, convert, or process through our tools.
- Support messages and correspondence with our team.
Google Sign-In and Google user data
If you choose to create an account or sign in with Google, Praxeli uses Google Sign-In (OAuth) for authentication. In that case, we receive basic Google account profile information that you authorize Google to share with us — typically your name, email address, and profile image (and a stable Google account identifier). We use this Google user data solely to authenticate you, create or manage your Praxeli account, and communicate with you about the Service.
- We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google user content beyond basic profile information needed for sign-in.
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use Google user data for advertising.
- Google user data is stored with your account records and retained for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
- You can disconnect Google Sign-In or request deletion of your Praxeli account; see Your Rights below or email privacy@praxeli.ai.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited and tools used.
- Device and browser information, such as IP address, browser type, and general device characteristics.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookies & Analytics section below.
We collect what is reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. If you choose not to provide certain information, some features may not work.
How We Use Information
We use information to run the Service, process your academic workflows, communicate with you, and improve reliability.
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its academic tools.
- Process your prompts, documents, and requests to generate citations, analysis, drafts, edits, and other outputs.
- Authenticate users and manage accounts, subscriptions, and billing where applicable.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
- Monitor reliability, diagnose issues, and improve performance and user experience.
- Protect the security and integrity of the Service and our users.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms where applicable.
Your academic content is used to provide AI-powered writing and research assistance through the Service. We do not sell your personal information or academic content to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Academic Content & Documents
You may submit essays, citations, PDFs, and other academic material. We process this content only to deliver the tools you choose to use.
Praxeli is designed for academic workflows — citation finding, document analysis, writing assistance, exports, and related tools. When you submit content, it is processed to generate the results you request.
What you might submit
- Prompts and research questions for writing or analysis tools.
- Draft essays, outlines, literature reviews, and citation lists.
- PDFs, DOCX files, and other documents for analysis or conversion.
- Assignment briefs, coursework questions, and study materials.
Your responsibilities
- Only submit content you have the right to use for your academic work.
- Avoid uploading sensitive personal information unless necessary for your task.
- Do not upload confidential institutional records, private student data, or restricted research materials unless you are authorized.
- Review all generated outputs before using them in coursework, research, or publication.
- You remain responsible for managing and deleting your own academic content where applicable.
If you use library or project features, saved items are associated with your account so you can access them across sessions, subject to your plan and account settings.
AI Processing
Your input is processed by automated AI systems to produce citations, summaries, edits, and analysis. Always review outputs before relying on them.
Praxeli uses automated systems, including AI models, to process user input. Depending on the tool, this may include generating text, finding sources, summarizing documents, checking grammar, or analyzing uploaded files.
What to expect
- Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or need editing before use.
- Citations and references should be verified against original sources.
- The Service supports academic workflows — it does not replace your judgment or institutional requirements.
- Follow your school, university, or employer policies on AI-assisted work.
We process input to deliver the functionality you request. Infrastructure providers that help operate the Service may process data on our behalf as needed to run tools. Contact us if you have questions about a specific workflow.
